Both Bushs and Reagan easily outspent their Democrat counterparts. WOW....Megan, great job on the homework, my friend! WOW. Thanks for taking the time.

As for "anonymous", think of "Google Earth" as "big brother", and yes... we're heading "there". Strap on your seatbelt and keep your powder dry... ;-)

Today, I chatted with a new Citizen of the United States who was born and raised in Pakistan. He was very interesting. He told me, and I quote: "My fellow Americans have NO IDEA what 'freedom' is." He went on to complain about how this was the land of opportunity to be sought, then he got here, and big brother is everywhere he turns.

Permit for this, license for that, IRS audits, bank account gets frozen for a month, police roadblocks on his way home from work; he says it's terrible here because of that and no longer wants to live here. Asked him if it's freer in Pakistan and he laughed, told me it was "a LOT freer" there; you wouldn't have government workers coming into your home because you spank your child to spare them from bad things from happening to them.

He was truly frustrated. I said, "Stay here and help us to fix all of this", he said: "I came here for the American Dream and freedom, but your Government is everywhere I turn. I love you, and I love my fellow Americans, but you people have allowed your freedoms to disappear. I cannot bear to raise a child in this environment."

That's BAD.The GTLā¢https://www.blogger.com/profile/06362594707032250902noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7772622.post-27744618852631241602007-02-02T21:55:00.000-05:002007-02-02T21:55:00.000-05:00First and foremost - this is outstanding. You have this wonderful way of inspiring while clearly stating the realities.

Reading this takes the overwhelming aspect out of the topic. Now I better understand where we are and I will take this information into so much of my thinking- and therefore,my understanding.

This is the best type of call to action because it informs and doesn't just anger.

I don't understand how our leaders brought us to this point. I love this country and I find myself thinking of the shame this administration should feel for bringing us here.

President Bush aside, Megan where do you think repair can begin? And what is going to happen to our lead in the area of information. Is Google World (et al) our next frontier?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
